Location: 51°32'40.092"N, 0°36'32.207"E
The remains of Hadleigh Castle are situated on a small hill on the north bank of the Thames estuary in Essex. It was built after 1215 by Hubert de Burgh and expanded by Edward III. The castle is now maintained by English Heritage and open to the public for free at all reasonable times. The photos on this page were taken at about 7am on a Sunday in July 2014. It was raining very lightly so unfortunately some of the photos have small rain drop blurs in them.
